ZJPG is a browser-based image compression tool built for people who need results fast — no uploads, no accounts, no server involved. Select a file, set a target size, and get a compressed output in under a second. Everything runs locally on your device using native Canvas and Blob APIs.

Once the page loads, the tool works entirely offline. It supports single-image compression and batch mode for up to 20 files at once, with individual size targets per file and a one-click ZIP download when you're done.

How to Use

Pick your file. Click Choose File and select a JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WEBP image. For batch compression, select multiple files at once — the tool switches automatically to batch mode and lists all selected files.

Choose an engine mode. Four modes are available — Normal for maximum precision, Good for the best balance, High for faster processing, and Extreme for maximum speed on large files. The tool will recommend the best mode based on your image size.

Set your target size. Type a value in the input field and select KB or MB, or use one of the quick preset buttons like 50KB or 200KB. In batch mode, you can set a global target for all files or override the size per individual file.

Compress and download. Hit Compress and the engine runs a binary search across quality and scale levels to find the best output under your target. For single images, download the result directly. For batch, download each file individually or grab all of them as a ZIP.

Keep in mind — the target size is a ceiling, not a guarantee. On extreme cases like compressing a 4K photo to 20KB, the engine will get as close as possible but quality will be affected. For typical use cases like profile photos, form attachments, and web uploads, it works exactly as expected.
